				Veteran travel public relations executive Cindy Tanenbaum joined Kartagener Associates Inc. (KAI) as Vice President of Public Relations in 2004. Cindy has represented an array of hospitality clients including hotels, resorts and tourism boards around the world and brings ten years of travel PR experience to KAI. Cindy currently oversees the media relations program for Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. She also spearheads public relations activities for an array of African safari lodges and tourism bureaus including India and Botswana. As head of public relations for KAI, Cindy has generated story ideas and successfully placed approximately a hundred high profile feature stories in the travel trades and consumer outlets. Prior to joining KAI, Cindy was an account supervisor at Patrice Tanaka and Company, Inc. (PT&Co.). At PT&Co. she headed the publicity programs for an array of consumer and travel clients including Sandals and Beaches Resorts, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, South African Tourism and Connecticut Tourism. Cindy was also part of the team responsible for receiving numerous HSMAI Golden Bell Merit Awards for travel PR excellence, including the highest travel honor in the travel PR industry, “Best in Show” for Wyndham's “Women on Their Way” Program. Cindy graduated from Boston University’s College of Communication with a degree in Mass Communications, specializing in public relations.
